Ensuring environmental compliance for major development projects in Cameroon

AGGEM was hired as main consultants under contract No. 389/M/MINTP/CPM-TN/2009 by Cameroon Ministry of Public Works for the Control and surveillance of the construction of two key access bridges linking Cameroon’s Capital and two major regional capital cities and two neighbouring countries.

The consultants successfully provided complete environmental control of the construction works at the site in accordance with established policies regarding measures to be taken into account in assessing environmental impacts during execution of public works and all other directives by the Cameroon Ministry of Public Works and Ministry in charge of the Environment. This entailed successfully facilitating the respect of remediation measures and effective handling of stakeholder concerns during and after the construction and commissioning of the bridges.
